what was your first dive watch?

    [IMG][/IMG]
I bought this Seamaster 60 from an AD in 1974 for $175 (!). I was starting my ENT career, & I "needed" a watch to time some of my surgical procedures. now, I admit to my OCD & buy dive watches because they're there. I'm told the Seamaster 60 isn't very commom. any input from the more knowledgable would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if the Tissot PRS200 qualifies - more dress / diver, with the emphasis on dress.

The first true, dedicated diver for me was my Seiko SKX. Beautiful watch. Still dive with it.

But conversely the dolphins believed themselves to be more intelligent than man for precisely the same reasons."

Rolex 1680 (Red) Submariner purchased in 1981 (used) for $300. And I actually used to wear it diving...go figure. Started me down a long and expensive path.

This Vostok Frog Dude-- got it off da'Bay in 2005.
My first diver and first eBay purchase-- sent me off on a long expensive road as well.
Still have it-- these Russian Amphibians are frickin' indestructible! I've dropped it accidentally from waist height onto hard cement or stone tiled floors on three occasions-- the watch shrugged it off and didn't miss a beat. Do that with a Swiss automatic, even a diver, and all you'll have is a bag of parts.

My OM and BM I got at the same time. They're no Omega, but still love them!

I got one just like this for Xmas 1979.

Mine was stolen 20 years ago, but I recently bought another.

What I really wanted was a 6309, but I was a kid. Santa figured that was too big for me, I guess.

My first (and only) dive watch is a Citizen Promaster Aqualand. I bought it in 1994 when I did my certification in Saudi & I still have it. The data transfer dock is long gone, and the straps dry-rotted away (I'll replace those soon) but it still looks good.
Have: Citizen Hyper Aqualand, Breitling Colt, Raketa 'Pilot' 24 hr, Raketa 'Naval' 24 hr, Raketa Kopernik, Christopher Ward C8, G-Shock GW2310-1, Ball Engineer II Ohio Moon Phase
    Want: Stowa M.O. Automatic

My first was a Bernhardt Sea Shark. It was an awesome watch, but I just couldn't live without a date feature.
