    What's Your Favorite Mesh?

    Hey guys,

OK, my first post dumped, so here's the short version.

I'm looking for a good alternative mesh for my Omega PO 45.5 (22mm lugs). I have the 20mm for my Electric Blue. It's nice, but expensive, especially since I need the extension, which seems like a really poor design choice for a bracelet.

I have already tried the "Shark Mesh" from Strapcode.com. It's OK, but a bit insubstantial and the sharp wire ends look like a path that my watch lugs just don't want to go down.

By far, my favorite so far is the Zixen/Helson mesh. It's strong, dense, easily sizable, with a very secure clasp. If they made it in 22 instead of 24mm, I'd just get another of those.

So, my question is...what mesh really does it for you? Stock, aftermarket, whatever. All suggestions are appreciated!

Here's what I have so far:

    Omega, 20mm Mesh:

    Zixen 44, 24mm Mesh:

    Re: What's Your Favorite Mesh?

That seems to be the best one I've seen out there as well. It always good to hear from someone who actually owns one though.

One question. Is it capable of being adjusted?

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Nice shot Dan! Is that the same mesh? If so, it looks like exactly what I'm looking for.

    Thanks!

    Deacon,
It fit me as is so I was lucky. I tried to remove a link in the clasp but the tiny screw wouldn't move and I didn't want to risk stripping the head. I'm sure a watchmaker could remove links with little trouble though.
Substantial, pliable, and comfortable, although a bit pricy.

    Re: What's Your Favorite Mesh?

Thanks again Dan! Did you get the 3.5mm or the 4.8?

That 4.8 I think would be pretty spectacular on my big Planet Ocean. Of course, at $250 it's pretty much a wash with the Omega Mesh.

Still, the Omega clasp has no safety feature should it come open. At least the Staib will stay on your wrist.

Sent an e-mail to Zixen. Perhaps the source of their mesh might make a 22mm model. Will report if I find anything out.

    Re: What's Your Favorite Mesh?

I love getting meshy w/ my divers!
Omega Mesh,Zinex Mesh,Jurgen custom monster mesh 22mm sandblasted, omega mesh.

If you want a 22mm I'd say omega or see if Peter will sell you the upcoming Sharkmaster Mesh. I thought I saw where Joe @ Zixen is making a change to his mesh, I'm hopeful it goes the road of the new Helson and Eterna Kon Tiki Heritage mesh.
