I'm not sure but I think Marathon uses the Bonnetto 306. Looks like mine, at least

It says marathon on the buckle, it feels really flimsy I am going to search for dive watch bands and see what comes up. I posted a few pics on the marathon pics in the images section, I really like the painted one I asked who did the work but n oone responded.

Jay at Motor City Watch Works did the ceramic coating on that watch. Jay does excellent work, and that ceramic coating is tough as nails. I came really close to having Jay coat my TSAR when I had it.

thanks I will email them. I was reading that these watches can not be relumed? It would be nice to find someone in Chicago though.

You're right. They can't be relumed because they have tritium tubes instead of luminova. You could probably get the dial and hands replaced with new once the trit tubes die down, but that would probably be pretty expensive.

That IS an OEM rubber SAR strap. The original one (like on the OP's watch) is the thin version and at some point they switched to a thicker strap.

It's not so much literature, but if you poke around the MWR archives, there's some really good info on the SAR family.

I haven't owned any with the thicker strap, just the older thinner version. I've never been a big fan of rubber to they all ended up in the strap box until I sold the watches off.
