Hello Friends, ZIXEN would like to present our next special project. The all new ZULU UTC Automatic, and ZULU Diver Automatic. The exclusive in-house case design will be ZIXEN first 42mm with unique coin edge design bezel. The current renderings are our final format that are based on research and input from number of contributors, active armed forces personnel as well as our own in-house designers and WUS forum members. The ZULU will have a comfortable foot print at 42MM x 49.5MM and total depth of only 13.00MM. The design philosophy behind ZULU has been purely, form and function for military application, as well as for the weekend worrier. We wanted ZULU to be visible, with premium performance and precision, razor sharp optical quality Sapphire crystal, extreme recoil resistance, down range effective low light visibility; Swiss ETA adjusted and regulated movements for dead on accuracy. Exceptional robust design, durable solid 316 marine grade stainless steel three piece case constructions, steel movement mount. Screw in type crown, 4mm coin edge bezel design for effective grip and ease of operation. Calibrated turning bezel action with 120 clicks, UTC smooth independently time setting capability, water resistant to 30 ATM, or 300 meters/1000 ft. Available in variety of dial/hands combinations with UTC 24 hour or 12 hour time only function. It will be supplied on premium NATO Ballistic nylon strap, or ZIXEN high quality 4MM HD mesh Bracelet. Limited full two year warranty, backed by ZIXEN support and service. Initial production will be 100 units only, for both UTC and time only for 2012. Joe, the ZULU looks like a very interesting new offering from Zixen. I like the military diver direction you are going with this model. There are a lot of great design elements you have combined within the ZULU, dial, hands and bezel are all working really well together and are visually striking. Also, that is a great looking case back. The case size of this one should really make the guys happy that were asking for a smaller case dimension.

You all played in this design, the dial is matt finish hands are semi gloss, Date wheel for some models will be black with white numbers....:) We are still making some modifications, such as flat Sapphire crystal, or Dome.......the minute hand will be improved with better border balancing.....

I think a light domed sapphire crystal fits perfect.

I am looking forward to the proto type pics.

I really like it and is in a size that I prefer. I wish that the time only divers were offered with the orange hands.

I like this - the size impo is spot on at 42mm. I am tired of oversized divers and this may take the place of the Korsbek hydro explorer, which i have been waiting an age for! I particulary like the yellow hands. I have been after a Zixen watch for a while but did not want another 44mm+ chunk on my wrist so this may be the one. Will have to check my bank balance for this one!
