Wow, how cool is that - thanks for the pics

So are we talking Pre-A or Pre-V here?

    ***EDIT***
2000??? I guess not! How come they were still using T-dials in Y2K??? When did OP switch to Luminova?

    You're welcome!

This model is from 2000, C serial.

I will sell mine. I would like to buy a more functional diver. I like my 064, but I don't want to dive with it or wear it very often.

I hope you can find a nice Tritium soon!

    Cheers!

In fact in less than 24 hrs from now,I will see the 23A,as much as I like the 29,I still prefer plain dial as opposed to tuxedo :)
Anyway, what's the negative side of tritium? Will they possibly crack or is it the radiation?

Tritium does crack and flake over time, some do, some don't. Tritium was used on at least some of the dials of some of the Submersibles through the K series (if not later). I have two 24s, an A and an E, and both have tritium lume, and wouldn't have bought either if they didn't (and neither are flaking or cracking)--the A is, of course, now about 14 years old.

Thanks for the info! It would be interesting to know the difference between T & L on PAMs of roughly the same age (+/- one year); do you happen to have an L-dial in that age-bracket too? If so, what ware the differences (initial brightness, duration, color, etc).

I have assumed that the industry went from Tritium "paint" to some form of phosphorus-based substance (Super LumiNova, etc) do decrease the danger to the "dial maker", if not the owner. I do know that tritium in the gaseous form (vials) cannot penetrate skin and thus is harmless (unless you're silly enough to ingest it...). Now Radium is another story (google radium girls...)
