I'm lost. What's happening? The dial is just rotated around?

I'm not saying I don't like it. It's just confusing to look at. It would take me a long time to get used to it, especially due to the lack of hour markers.

Good luck if you're selling them.

Ummm, it appears the dial layout is simply rotated so that the 12 index is read where the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock indices are usually placed.

Sorry, but this is in a poor stage of design development. It seems you are either interested in challenging the status quo of dial arrangement or drawing user attention/participation. Either way, your design should bring to attention the folly of a tradition or make clear the consequence/benefit of such a change.

I would suggest completely disregarding the symmetrical or radial axis of the traditional dial by either rotating the dial so that it is radically not aligned with any of the 12 indices (30 degrees) or creating a pattern that makes finding the hour markings more difficult. Like a pattern that competes with the "centering" of the clock. Or maybe calling out irrational numbers, or making the 1 o'clock a 13 and be the only index available. Another possibility is to only show half hour markings, or only every 10 minute marking etc.

Of course, these are just simple examples, and I understand you are using a basic store-purchased clock and replacing the dial. But what you have so far doesn't quite do it if you want to grab the attention of a potential buyer for your idea. Yes, good ideas don't have to be complicated, but this is rather simplistic and there is a reason no one has done this already.
