    Picture Third Watch Design

This is the third watch design I've put together using Google SketchUp. It's a continuation of my previous concept in which the hour markers (#) and tick marks (-) are laser engraved onto the crystal. Also note that there is no bezel; the crystal is edge to edge.
(You can see my previous watch designs here: First Watch, Second Watch.)

    I appreciate feedback!

As always...Pop Quiz: Can anybody name waches that influenced this design?

Nomos stands out with the Arabic numeral choices/placement as an influence. Very nice and clean design.

    Re: Third Watch Design

With the numberals on the underside of the crystal, I'd say that the Chopard Mille Miglia line would have been an influence, espcially with the hollow design to them.

This is a pretty sterile design, I'd have to say that the way you designed the crystal is a bit risky; it sits very high, and looks like it is just begging for a nick, scratch, etc.

I think the case design is worth talking about - it appears the case is a puck, with caseback on the bottom and dial on top, the lugs being an incomplete ring around it. Interesting.

    What are the proposed dimensions?

Renee Descartes walks into a bar, the bartender says 'sir can I get you a Martini ?', Descartes says 'I don't think...' and he disappears
