    KADLOO® – Press Release

"As I cannot find the watch I have always wanted to have, I will build it by myself." – With this target, the designer and manager of an advertising agency Martin C. Petersen, today CEO of the Kadloo Germany, started at the beginning of 2006 to create a wristwatch with the following characteristics:

    • Sporty and timeless design
    • Strong and resistable watch for the use under extreme conditions
    • Usage of only the best watch-movements, as well as high standard materials and mechanics
    • uncompromising quality at a fair price

For a successful implementation of such a goal it is elementary to work with humans surrounding yourselves, who are always better in their field than you are. This Kadloo philosophy is based on the cooperation of qualified watchmakers, creative product-designers and only selected suppliers for additional needed watch-components.

In addition to the fine watch collection Kadloo has developed a product-line of watch-winders and lifestyle articles. In a very short time Kadloo succeeded to establish their brand as the leading German manufacturer for watch-winders due to their extremely reliable technology and straight forward design.

Just two years after its market launch in 2006 the Kadloo® brand is available at the leading German jewellers and watch makers, in the biggest European cities as well as in the Middle East region. For the year 2008, the launch of the brand in North and South America is scheduled.

The history of the name Kadloo is caused to a coincidence. As Martin C. Petersen in 1986 was visting by New Zealand and came in touch with the local Mãori people, they did teach him the term “Kadloo”, which means in the language of the Mãori satisfaction and reliability. These words with the related properties accompanied him since that time, became his personal philosophie and so consequently the name of the watch company he founded in 2006.

    Hamburg/Germany, June 2008

Now some watches out of the current collection:

    Kadloo Ocean Class

The Ocean Class is fitted with the well known work horse ETA 2824-2 and comes with a polished stainless steel 316L case. Diameter is 38mm, the sapphire crystal is ar coated, hands and indices are coated with Superluminova®, rated wr to 200m.
Watches are available with and without date, dial in black or mother of pearl (nature, light blue - I´d say turkqoise, pink).
Bracelet or leather straps (brown, black).
    Price: 529 to 575 Euro

    Kadloo Professional Diver

From the dial you already can conclude that the movement mounted into the case is a Valjoux 7750.

The case (matt stainless steel) is PVD coated which underlines the impression of a "beast". The case measures 43 mm in diameter and is fitted with a sapphire crystal and one-way bezel. Hands and markers are coated with Superluminova (orange, green, yellow). I don´t know which I like most .

Rated wr to 200m (660 ft), screw down crown and pushers. Strap: Rubber + Lorica®.
The strap is available with fitting stiching.

    Retail: 999 Euro

    Kadloo Ocean Date

ETA 2824-2, 42h pr, PVD coated case, 43mm diameter, sapphire crystal, bezel one directional, markers and hands Superluminova coated, wr to 300m (1000 feet), screwd crown and back. Comes with bracelet and leather strap with deployant clasp.
    Price: 699 Euro

    [b]Kadloo Mission Big Date[b]

The Mission Big Date is fitted with the "new" ETA 2826-2.

Thanks to the new ETA 2826-2, the exclusivity of a large date is now within reach for less expensive timepieces.
It provides a date display almost twice as large as the very popular ETA 2824-2 movement with a display area of 3.7 mm x 2.8 mm.
Two discs are fully superposed, the lower disc being imprinted with the numerals 1 to 16, while the upper disc carries the dates from the 17th to the 31st plus a window that allows the dates on the lower disc to be seen. Thus, from the 1st to the 16th day of a month, the window of the upper disc is congruent with the equal-sized aperture in the dial, revealing the current date on the lower disc. The transition from the 16th to the 17th day is performed by the upper disc which also advances by one interval for the 15 days that follow. After the 31st, the window in the upper date disc again lines up with the dial aperture, exposing the numeral 1 on the lower disc.
This mechanism allows a logical date display in which the 1st automatically follows the 31st day. Moreover, double-digit dates appear without a gap. Unlike other solutions, the position of the big date on the dial is not fixed. It can be arranged in many different ways to accommodate signature dial configurations with brand-typical layouts.

    Specs:
    Case: stainless steel 316L, 43mm
    Crystal: sapphire crystal
    Bezel: one directional ratcheting
    WR: 200m
    Crown: screwed down
Case: screwed in with display back
Dial: anthracite/black and ivory (which would be my favorite).

    Price: 848 Euro

    [b]Kadloo Mediterranée[b]

    Specs:
    caliber: ETA 2824-2
    diameter: 40mm
    crystal: sapphire crystal
    bezel: one directional
    crown: screw down crown
    back: screwed ss dispaly back
strap: high quality leather strap with deployant clasp, colour available according to the face in brown, white and black
    price: 499 Euro

    Kadloo Ocean Date Sport

One of the watches I like most: The Ocean Date Sport roségold

    Specs:
    movement: ETA 2824-2
case: stainless 316L steel, 43mm, screwed crown and back, rated wr to 300m, availalble in polished stainless steel or PVD coated
bezel: stainless steel or black PVD or roségold
    Price: 529 to 725 Euro

Flicking through the new Kadloo catalogue is was impressed by the design of the Kadloo watch winders which are available as single mover (Cube 1) to a mover with 8 places (Cube 8).

    Here´s a pic of Cube 4:

    Uffffffffffff, ready

Didn't Christ sell these chronographs under their own brand name for under 500 Euros? I'm glad to see that Kadloo once again didn't use any design cues on the Ocean class or the Mediteranee
    Cheers,
    Micha

Diver Chronographs look like very close relatives of Daniel Minks discontinued Diver Chronographs.

Talk about uninspired copies. And their pricing is out in left field as well.
