    re: kienzle watches

    Hi Billy,
Without a pic or any other details, I'd have to say no. I found a number of Kienzle watches on a quick eBay search in a range of prices with several listed as '60's models for a lot less.
Vintage watches are harder to value without pics, service history, proof of all original parts (movement, crown, crystal, etc), so your decision is a hard one. I'd only consider a vintage dive watch for that kind of money. Vintage dress watches are typically too small for my tastes and have much less value to me personally. If you like it, (edit: if you absolutely love it and wouldn't care if it were worth 5 quid) go for it. However, don't look at it as an investment and be prepared to spend another 150 on service and parts if even available. Good luck. Perhaps pics will help our more vintage oriented members respond.

    Regards,

    Jeff

^^Yep, show us pics billy b!
Welcome to Affordables by the way.
You could also post on the German and Vintage forums to see what they think.

Is it worth it in money terms (eg as an investment) - probably not.
And if you look around you can get vintage watches in good nick for much less (see my wruw posts - most of my collection was well south of 50)
But if you like the look then go for it.

Another thought - how long have you been looking and how unique is this watch? (again those other forums would maybe help here).
It would be gutting to spend that much and have another one come up next week for 20

    Happy hunting!

Here on WUS we tend not to give evaluations. If you want to know why please read the sticky on our Vintage and Pocket Watches Forum.
For further information pics of front, back and movement would be helpful.
    Kind regards
    Mike
