Tutima Ti Nato Chrono 760-02 visits the driest place on earth...

I have been away from the forum for a (very) long time. I thought this could be a nice come back... :)

Last week I was in the Atacama desert in Chile, the driest place on earth. I had my old friend, the Tutima 760-02 on my wrist, which, needless to say, was not affected at all. About 20 minutes after this pic was taken, a much more challenging situation was handled without any issue. My car was stuck in the sand and while trying to get it out by digging and pushing, the spinning wheel blasted lot (and I mean really a lot!) on sand on the Tutima which was, once again, unscathed by the event. I have had this watch since 2004 and it has performed flawlessly. I am thinking about sending it in for service, but at this point I cannot find a good reason.

Sorry for the relatively fuzzy closeup...

Welcome back, and thanks for the photos.

I suppose it is just as important to keep the grit out
as it is the water. A sealed case keeps the grit on
    the outside of your watch.

    Thanks,

I was also in the Atacam a few months after you - this time with the Sinn EZM1, but still a 5100 powered watch from a good German manufacturer...

    Hi Andy,

What is the strap that you have your EZM1 on and where did you get it?

    Thanks in advance,
