    Ordering accessories from Damasko Directly

Let me preface this post by saying that this is not a rant or smack against Damasko but more of an inquiry.
I contacted them to order some straps (NATO, leather) including 3 sets of spring bars and the tool. Call me crazy but I do my best to support the manufacturer directly. Let me also add I am in Canada so this order was fairly expensive for what I am getting (hopefully)
After asking for an invoice I was provided with a quote that included an extra PayPal charge. Ok fine. So I paid the full "quote" amount through PayPal in Euros.
Next day I am informed I owe another 5.69 Euros. Hmm. Ok fine I send that as well with a couple of sentences regarding why there was more being asked for then what was on the quote. Since that day (over 5 days) I have not heard anything. No tracking number # or confirmation of funds received. I followed up with 2 gently worded emails asking about status and still nothing.
Is this the usual way ordering goes? Again not a rant but more of a question on order processing with them.
    Thanks

Not an excuse but trying to explain what might have happened. From Dec. 27th on to Jan 8th most of the staff was off. Production and staff reduced to the min. Jan 6th was a Bavarian holiday so a lot of manufacturers did not work in the first week of the new year (Laco, Stowa) or reduced work power significantly.
No clue what the invoice thing was about. Exchange rate difference ?

Thanks Mike. I do assume at this point that they are rotating staff holidays since the person I was dealing with is now off but the person I originally had contact with is back now. Again not a major complaint but I am not used to vendors asking for more funds after an invoice or quote has been paid. In this circumstance I let it go since they are a small operation and require net funds I suppose.
I am chalking up the extra funds to exchange rate. With the cost of shipping for these small items I was hoping for a quicker turn around since they only use fed ex.
    Appreciate the reply.

Just an update. They emailed me today and apologized as they were closed for a holiday (as Mike said). Tracking number supplied and now the long wait.
