Geoff's Projects - GPS Synchronised Clock
I remember that a few years back I was looking for something like this when I needed a reference.
It is something for the enthusiastic DIY-er.
I think you need to solder it together and attach it to an existing wall clock.
I do have some reservations about this:
- It does not synchronize frequently enough. I have to do the sums but I think it can be fractions of a second out this way.
- You are better off with the correct time on your computer. It is much more central.
- Batteries
But, for what it's worth it is probably is as accurate as a RC wall clock.
You'll be the first one in town though with a GPS wall clock!
What I really want is drive a wall clock with the PPS output of a GPS. That would always be spot on to the µs. I've seen GPS clocks with PPS output for $10 at Alibaba.
