This has been discussed in a separate thread: OT: the Shallows. Here's a better picture of the watch, let me leave it here as well.

The now all "puffed up" actor Brendan Fraser's wearing a GD350-1B in TV show The Affair (2014-present). I spotted the watch watching TV the other day, and confirmed with scene pictures online.

The GD350-1B is a well known G in the forum here, and regarded as the best negative display G-Shock ever made at this point.

Re: G-Shock Movie or TV appearance

I think this might be mentioned before in this thread here, or others. In movie "End of Watch", at least 2 G-Shocks were used.

Actor Jake Gyllenhaal's wearing very clearly a G7900-1 with the red button at 4 o'clock.

In fact, this watch's clearly presented in at least one of the DVD/Blueray cover designs for this movie.

Co-star Michael Peña was also wearing a G-Shock. But from all the scene pictures I've found, none showed the watch face as clearly as Jake's G7900. It's likely a GW2310-1 as partly confirmed by the shot below with the metal bezel of the watch in view.

Re: G-Shock Movie or TV appearance

Yet another comedy movie that you would not think a G will appear in it. Movie Superbad featured at least 3 G's, including the 5600 worn by main character McLovin!

Clearly a 5600 series G-Shock as seen below on McLovin's wrist. But exactly which model variant is hard to tell.

McLovin delivered the most classic watch nerd line ever.

One of the cops was wearing what looks like a MTG900 G-Shock.

McLovin's friend looks like was wearing a 6900 series G-Shock.

The other cop's wearing a black resin watch in tactical under wrist fashion. It may or may not be a G.

The driver who accidentally hit one of the main characters in the movie, was wearing a black round resin watch. May or may not be a G.

Re: G-Shock Movie or TV appearance

Can anyone tell me what this watch is worn by Steve Zahn in the goofy National Security movie? Looks like an old g-shock square, but not a DW-5600c

^It looks like the Casio DW-290-1V "Mission Impossible" watch.

Re: G-Shock Movie or TV appearance

Not really a movie, but a music video that's re-recorded for a movie. Jack Black was wearing what looks like a DW6100 (correct me if wrong). The watch was clearly shown multiple times in the video.

Here's the music video. Funny song but contains foul language and possible disturbing image for some. [Viewer discretion advised.]

Re: G-Shock Movie or TV appearance

I posted the above without doing a search in the forum first, turned out Sjors had IDed Jack Black's watch as early as 2006! See thread below. I am 11 years late!
    Jack Black

It's unlikely any online video back then was as high res as today. So my post above serves as a definitive confirmation.
