    MIR-17 commemorative Poljot Kosmos

Let's start to reconstruct the gallery by this series originaly posted in late Oct 2005 about the Poljot commemoration watch related to the longuest flight of the 20th century.

On Oct. 3 1994, for the MIR expedition 17 , Valeri Vladimirovich Polyakov (medical doctor cosmonaut) with Yelena Vladimirovna Kondakova (flight engineer), and Aleksandr Stepanovich Viktorenko (Commander), embarked in Baikonur for a record mission that dured 437d 17h 58m for 6927 Earth orbital revolutions for Polyakov (169d 05h 21m for Kondakova and Viktorenko).

Poljot issued this commerative 3133 chrono, called "KOCMOC", with unic-design case in solid titan, limited to 300 exemplaries. The watch N°139/300 was bought in Moskow on Nov. 2 1996 and was sold to me in mid oct. 2005. The watch was never worn.
