    My First Omega (Speedmaster Professional 35th Anniversary Apollo Soyuz)

    It finally arrived freshly built from Omega 1 month, 22 days after I ordered it.

    The look of slight disgust when I told the sales person that I wasn't going to wear the steel bracelet with it was amusing... but she did admit that it looked pretty sharp once she saw it on the watch.

    That is a stunning watch and an absolutely amazing dial. Congratulations on your new acquisition!

    You seem to have an eye for photography too, maybe you can submit one for the new monthly photo contest. The topic this month is "shadow". Might I suggest "In the Shadow of the Moon" for an iconic piece.

    WOW. Congrats on a really unique and cool watch. I was reading the notes about the watch in your picture above, very interesing. What an amazing piece of history. Enjoy the watch and thanks for sharing.

    I don't think I will subscribe to this thread. I guess most will empathise. You see a watch, specifically an Omega of this ilk, and somehow it not only imprints itself in your brain, it goes all the way to your heart. You close the thread, a day or so later, (after a few flashbacks during that time) you have another look and another imprint happens. You have another look, catching up on the thread and the terminal cycle begins. You start checking specifics, availability other pics.... Next thing you know, this urge comes, this desire comes. I do not want this watch, I need it. My collection, my wrist depends on it..
    Goodbye.. Enjoy this watch..As you can tell, I love it too much. As I go to close this page a voice is saying "..... the dial, hewn from a meteor, no two alike....." goodbye.

    I think that caseback just surpassed the Planet Ocean as my favorite. The black/red nato (or is it zulu, I can't see the rings) looks great!
