Hi,
As i know (with help of mb.nawcc.org), this pocket watch is a BRT (Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen). The initials on the chain medal is BRT too. If you have more information about the watch or chains to help me, let me a message. Details : Inside the case : Locomotive with Burlington watch CO Chicago USA. Under locomotive Gold filled / Cashier / Case made in Canada. Serial number : 3541301 Face : Illinois. There is a little scratch near 17 number Movement is work but it stop and start when you move it too fast. It's a Special Bunn Illinois Watch CO Springfield. 21 jewels. Double Roller. Adjust temp. and six positions. Serial number on the movement case (where Special Bunn is writen) is 4043468 (probabley near 1923). There is another serial number on the dial case : 41301. It's a 24 hours dial. On the back watch emblems BRT : There are letter very pale O and letter F just in the center of the emblems. On the chain (with baril) there are ?&O... maybe it is a D but not sure. The two chains are probably gold plating or something like rose gold (< 10 K). Thank's to help me to have more details about this Canadian BRT Watch come from my grantfather (and probably his grantfrather... ). CDNum. Last edited by CDNum; November 2nd, 2009 at 12:01. |
