Milan, September 2019 - Eberhard & Co. was confirmed as the Official Timer and Partner of the Nuvolari Grand Prix for the 29th consecutive year, a regularity race reserved for cars made from 1919 to 1972, scheduled for September 20 to 22 in Mantova.

Mario Passanante and Raffaella De Alessandrini, on board of their Fiat 508 C (1937), are the winners of this 29th edition of Gran Premio Nuvolari, that included a largely re-planned itinerary, in which the crews set off from the historic Piazza Sordello, to reach the scenic roads of Lake Garda, up to the Brenzone del Garda and ending the first stage in Bologna.

The second stage led them to cross the unique scenery of Central Italy, passing through the Piazza del Campo in Siena and Piazza Grande in Arezzo, ending in Rimini. In addition to the Mendola and Faenza trials, the way back to Mantova had a detour to the Imola racetrack, where unprecedented regularity trials took place.
Eberhard & Co. has a thirty-year relationship with Tazio Nuvolari, one of the greatest drivers of all time in the motor-racing world, and with the Nuvolari Grand Prix, which annually brings together 300 vintage cars in the city in Lombardy, driven by enthusiasts from all over the world, ready to face a 1000 km journey across the regions of Lombardia, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Marche and Toscana.

History tells us that "Nivola" possessed a watch from the Swiss Maison of which only the original case was found. Eberhard & Co. donated a mechanical pocket watch from the 1930s with an alarm clock function to the Tazio Nuvolari Museum in Mantova, identical to the original, and still kept inside the authentic case.
The deep bond of Eberhard & Co. with the fascinating world of speed and challenges of retro taste, with origins dating back to the nineteen-twenties, was strengthened in 1991, the year in which the brand dedicated a special collection to Tazio Nuvolari, made with strong references to motor-racing style, and became the Official Time-Keeper and Partner of the Nuvolari Grand Prix. For 29 years, the Maison has kept time for this important event; enriching every precious moment experienced by the participants with unmistakable style and elegance.

The Nuvolari Grand Prix was the ideal setting to show all competitors, at the opening cocktail party, that Eberhard & Co. had organized a showing at the Piccinini jewelery in Mantova of the Quadrifoglio Verde timepiece, a limited edition dedicated to the legendary four-leaf clover emblem of Alfa Romeo.
Indeed, Eberhard & Co. celebrates Alfa Romeo with a unique timepiece, made in 250 pieces, designed to represent all the technical and stylistic content that has always typified the products of both brands, in which innovation, performance and passion are combined.

The Quadrifoglio Verde timepiece has a 43 mm diameter steel case, inside which the automatic chronometer movement which drives the three counters is housed. Among these, the continuous second hand stands out, whose reading is given by the triangular emblem of the four-leaf clover that has become the hand. The tachymeter scale that surrounds the intense black dial, inspired by the readability of Alfa Romeo dashboards, respects the tradition of Eberhard & Co. timepieces with a strong automotive theme. The satin-finish bezel and buttons contribute to the stylistic balance of the case, which is both sporty and refined.

The 2019 edition of the Nuvolari Grand Prix also saw the long-awaited presence of two-time rally world champion Miki Biasion, Brand Ambassador of the Maison, who formed a special crew together with the General Manager of Eberhard & Co., Mario Peserico.
