Hmm... does that mean the Meranom 96 first links wouldn't match then? Bummer...

I have one of these on the way to me - I've heard that the paint can fade in the sun so as I live in a very sunny part of the world I'll be careful with it...

Most of the watches I buy do come from Ukraine as they are close to Russia and have a huge offering. Nearly all of my purchases do go perfectly fine; friendly, good communication and the sellers do deliver as promised. IMHO there is no need for the "eek!" No matter where you buy, there will always be rotten apples in between the many good seller, regardless where they live.
Check out the sellers feedback (eBay) and if there is any doubt about the authenticity or originality of the watch, check first with the experts in the Q&A Legit or Franken thread; https://forums.watchuseek.com/f10/q-...a-4514699.html
Actually, it's a good idea to read the whole thread ..... it's a long read, but you will slowly learn what's authentic / legit. Hopefully saves you from spending money on Frankens.
You can ask the experts also about whether the asking price is fair..... the experts on this forum are very good and they will keep you straight

Second that. I have probably 300 watches bought from Ukraine. Cannot recall any big issues. If you discuss the lot, ask questions and do your homework all will be perfect! Good luck.

I also bought quite a few watches from Ukraine and if you do some research first you should be fine. The bad reputation is probably due to the fact that there are several dial printing facilities in Kharkiv, so quite a few of watches with these aftermarket dials are being offered by local sellers.
