Early Raketa production and models - looking for pics and info

I'm not having a lot of luck finding earlier (say '61, '62) examples of Raketa watches. Was there even a "first" one? Surely such a naming event is likely followed by some product announcement. I honestly don't know.

Most people re-publish the same old tired facts but leave out specifics, so I'm hoping that someone can talk about that first year or two. And, of course, I'd love to see any pictures of earlier models that say Raketa on the dial.

The earliest mention of Raketa I've seen in any official (?) publication is from this item supposedly printed in 1964

    That's great info, thanks.

I've seen conflicting information around. For example, one site says:
The factory was officially renamed Petrodvorets Watch Factory</strong> in 1954. First watches under the brand name Raketa (Ракета): rocket, missile) were produced in 1961, after the first manned . . .
    Another site:
At the height of the Space Race in 1962, the factory name and logo were changed one final time to what it is still known as today: Raketa.

That link leads to the main index for me. :( Were you referring to the Raketa Watch Factory thread with representative David Henderson-Stewart? I thought of that (was a coinflip) but decided a new thread would be better since I was hoping to get pictures of members' watches from the beginning of the Raketa brand.

Here's (probably) the same question stated differently:

What was the 'Raketa'-branded watch that pre-dates the adoption of Raketa as a corporate brand for the Petrodvorets Watch Factory?
Or was the name used first only after the factory was rebranded?

(for example; Poljot, Vostok and Zarja were all designated to specific models prior to becoming the only brand for their respective factories)

I see no conflict here. One quote is about the product, the other one about the factory. Time sequence seems in line with the generally accepted history (plant named after the watch brand). I admit no specific info in my post.

In addition to the information already provided by others. I think it might be useful if you looked at this web link to Phd's watch collection. Phd was an active member on the forum and still occasionally participates. He has a huge collection of watches made at the Petrodvorets factory including many early examples. His webpage includes a link to a pdf document of part of his collection with photographs and some comments/details. You might also like to contact him via a pm.

I also have a catalogue document labelled Raketa 1961 which I picked up via a link on the watch.ru forum. It contains 4 "models" with Raketa branding. The front cover also lists all of the other Petrodvorets brand names which they were making in the early 1960s. I maybe able to post it on the forum later today.

When researching Russian watches/factories, it is always useful to learn the Cyrillic alphabet and become familiar with using both Yandex and Watch.ru. Google doesn't know everything!

Sorry, I picked bad examples and wasn't clear. You are right, but it's difficult to get any clarity on this topic. I was (as per title) hoping that some people here would post their pics of what they believe to be the first Raketa.
