"Great Patriotic War" 40th Anniversary Commemorative Vostok

I recently acquired this Vostok, issued to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over **** Germany in the Second World War... Interestingly, this watch uses a 2234 movement, which is relatively less common than the 2409a. Unfortunately, there is a considerable amount of "Wabi" on the dial, but otherwise, this is an interesting addition!

Interesting. It looks like a thin dress-style case. I wonder if that was why they used the older type of movement.

Is that seconds hand curved, or is it just distortion from the crystal?

This is what happens when you scan a ticking watch with a flatbed scanner.

Apart from being a franken, I have problems identifying the case -honestly I ain't even sure it's a Vostok model.

The only one which gets close enough seems to be the 140 as seen on the 1983 and 1983/85 catalogs (designed to hold a 2414 caliber, thus maybe the reason why this example needs such a large spacer ring), but the available images aren't detailed enough to wipe out the doubts, IMHO...

Interesting franken, the balance wheel bridge looks replaced as well.
