Sorry for my ignorance folks, how does this version relate to the one Julian sells?

I might be tired but, with a quick glimpse using a mobile phone, telemeters look quite the same. "1" near 6 seconds.

    EDIT: Typo and

Speed of sound is around 320m/s so that would equal about a nautical mile (about 1800 meters).

EDIT2: Some 3133s has telemetric scale for kilometers. They are different, for a reason. 😄

Look at 5 and 6 and later to see the difference. Yes, I know it is in Km. Now, tell me, do seamen use Km? The answer is NOT. This is why a watch called Ocean should NOT.

Re: New OKEAN/OKEAH and Sturmanskie from Volmax - 2019 edition

I'm with Joecool on the naming thing.

Volmax have three distinct brands, each drawn from 1st Moscow Watch Factory heritage: Aviator, Buran and Shturmanskie. Each has its own design theme. Shturmanskie's design theme is about tool watches and Soviet aerospace history.

Besides the reissue, there was an Okean brand briefly being made briefly by somebody in the old 1MChZ site but not by Volmax. That was more than a decade ago and didn't amount to much. So now the Okean name is being used as a model within the Shturmanskie brand, which is the only Volmax line where it would fit in. Sure, it would be tidier to launch Okean as a one-model brand, but I see nothing wrong with using otherwise unused names such as Kosmos, Orbita and Okean as model names for Shturmanskie.

Any idea (and any product), even the most stupid and illogical one, will ALWAYS have its supporters. Some will even have great success (look at some religions, political movements, Apple).

So it's no surprise there are some defenders of this abomination of a watch.

I should have checked it counter clockwise. Now I see. Thank you for pointing. For some reason I just quickly checked first NM.

I am not sure about full-time navigational staff. Most likely they use nautical miles. But nowadays, in the age of computers, I quickly swapped between Kms and Nms while on desk. But I wasn't navigator. 😄

But this watch isn't either kilometers or nautical miles. Or so it seems.

R2A has these new watches for pre-order, for March delivery.

They claim only 200 Okean and 300 Sturmanskie were made.
