Greetings and welcome to the world of Vostok.

Both are beauties but #2 is more cosmetically refined with a higher resale value.
Are you serious? Vostok has a resale value?
I am reading on the internet Russians will prefer Swiss or Japanese. They don't understand why Westerners buy Vostok.

Vostok has an in-house movement unlike hundreds of Swiss case-manufacturers.
The divers have unique Russian engineering (case back and crown stem).
Not sure about the time-keeping though.

Ok the scuba dude is obvious.
If you're crazy enough to buy Vostok - then there must be something wrong with your brain if you don't go for the scuba dude dial.

Yes - but I want something classy and refined. That's who I am.
And Vostok offers this with their 2019 catalog.
Just wondering if its accuracy is as pretty as its looks.

Also, dont forget that if you find a different bezel/insert you want, that can be installed prior to shipping and the box will include the original too! Even if it is a few bucks more, going the Meranom route is well worth it. I would rather pay like $100 for an Amphibia from them then chance it on a $60 eBay deal personally.

    Thank you so much.

Does Dmitry check each watch movement on a timegrapher before he ships it?
I think retailers like skywatches.sg will do that with Seiko watches.

    Classy and refined you say...

In that case then stick with the SE models. Better dials, better bracelets, better finishing. Upgraded crowns, bezels and caseback designs. They're slightly more expensive, but the sum of their parts still make them a bargain.

Once regulated all my Vostoks run in the +/-10 second range.

I have several vostoks, one of them 30 $ classic komandirskie, which are working under +/- 3 sec per day, so inside swiss COSCO chronometer standard. And every new vostok can be easely regulated to work under +/- 10 sec per day, without any special knowledge and skill.

I really love and respect Great Mother Russia, but sometimes can not unterstand some of Russians and their lack of respect for their inventions..

Can you explain what's going on here? I realize it's obvious to many of you, but it's not to me, and I'd guess to others as well.

Average Russians are like this, because of the perception (in many cases justified) that domestic products are inferior to Western ones.

Russian watch nerds are a different case, and all seem to have at least 1 Vostok. There are thousands of pages on various forums showing off all their Vostok mods.
