New to Vostok - which one to get?

I'm looking at getting one of these 2 watches from ebay but would like a little more info:

The 150367/2416 (teal) is $67 and the 960759/2416 (pepsi) is $117. Why such a big difference in price?
They have the same movements and same spec - is the difference just cosmetic?

Also I looked at the Vostok 2019 catalog to make my choice.
Is there a better Vostok out there or is it just a question of personal taste?

Finally, are there 2 Vostok companies? One in Finland and one in Russia?

The Neptune (960759) has several differences that increases the price.
I can think of a few: signed crown, bezel with aluminum insert, non-standard hands, date magnifier.
One negative aspect of the Neptune is the lug shape...it limits the straps you can wear with it. I believe that there are adapters you can get to add compatibility for standard straps.

If you want the 960759, get it from Meranom with coupon code "watchuseek". It will cost $99.75 with free shipping and you can count on great service from Dmitry. No need to worry if an eBay seller is trustworthy

P.S. Vostok is based in Russia and Vostok Europe is based in Lithuania. They are different companies.

    .
Greetings and welcome to the world of Vostok.

Both are beauties but #2 is more cosmetically refined with a higher resale value.

I'd skip both of these and get the scuba dude dial. Who wouldn't want a diver on the dial of their dive watch.

I'll second(or third or whatever, I am sure it will be 20 soon) buying from Meranom. Just have a look at the site, and don't forget that he will put any dial in any compatible case for you for a mere $5. Dmitry's customer service is second to none.

Also, dont forget that if you find a different bezel/insert you want, that can be installed prior to shipping and the box will include the original too! Even if it is a few bucks more, going the Meranom route is well worth it. I would rather pay like $100 for an Amphibia from them then chance it on a $60 eBay deal personally.

If the price for EITHER watch was $117, which one would you buy?

That's how you decide which one you REALLY like better.

Don't one JUST because it is cheaper, because sooner or later you'll be wistfully wishing you spent the extra money to get the one you REALLY liked best.

If you are new to Vostok buy from Meranom and bask in Dmitry's warm embrace: https://meranom.com/en/

Choose the watch you prefer, change any bits you want for $5 and get the diver of your dreams my friend.
