Smile Poljot Aviator Flying Tank on the way!

I ordered a Poljot Flying tank. The model with arabic numbers 1-11 except for the 8-9-10 where the sub seconds dial is.

What an incredible time piece. The Molnia 18 jewel movement looks awesome. Reminds me of the Unitas only better!

The watch is a very nice size at 42mm diam and about 13-14mm thick with a domed mineral crystal.

I can't wait to get this watch. I am very impressed with the look and fit and finish. I think most Russian watches are simply put a lot of watch for the money!!

I would like to ask what others on this forum think of the Molnia movement. Is it accurate? Is it reliable?

Thoughts and opinions would be great!

I've been thinking of getting a Watch like this for some time now. I believe that movement is usually used in pocket Watches. Be interested on your thoughts when it arrives, and on seeing some pics too.

    Here's some pics of mine:

I love this watch, one of my favorites. It ran a liitle fast (+25) until I tweaked it, now it seems consistant at +5 and it seems to be well regulated.

The winding feels a little 'agricultural' and the parts of the movement are a bit rough and ready but it has a good solid feel that lead me to think it will last for years...enjoy!

Hi Robzilla. I have a Molnija pocket watch which probably has the same movement. It's been keeping excellent time, (don't have the stats though), and seems very reliable and solid.
Your new flying tank should be a great watch!
