    The Strangest Slava Stopwatch ever

    Today I bought this kind of Waterproof Slava Stopwatch. Never seen one like this before. Any information will be wellcome. Thanks.







    The closest thing that I know is Mark Gordon one:

    What you appear to have is a Ratrappante or Split-Second stopwatch. Slava produced various models of these at least from the 50s to the 70s, yours dates from the fourth quarter of 1969.

    Another variant model is this:

    They are often described as military but I don't know if this is necessarily the case.

    Interesting indeed. Waterproof could be useful for torpedo timing, but split-second? More for swimming pool sports trainer

    I think that it will be an impossible task, besides this one I only know other two waterprof Slavas.

    I presume its just a press fit cap, so perhaps the missing one can be replicated
