Wonderful SE, very nice presentation... Thank you!
Most of the shark mesh is produced in China so the only real difference is price, except for some retailers like Strapcode, who exercise a high degree of quality control at the production stage.
There are many good examples on eBay and AliExpress. I have an XL wrist, so my search tool a bit longer but I was still able to buy a good quality mesh for about £25.
The clasp is not just a thin stamped fitting either.
This has been worn a lot here in the tropics and is comfortable (no sweating), light and robust.
Hope this helps......no need to spend a fortune.
Bumping this,just because awesome.
Tested accuracy over a time span of 1 month and am currently at -0.9sec/day! That's outperforming all my other watches... even slightly my ex-Omega with an 2892 movement!
Further, I noticed another design element in this 710 case. There are repeated konvex shapes all over the watch! I'll try my GIMP skills here... :)
"...710 case. There are repeated convex shapes all over the watch!..."
Ah yes, the Convexski.
Mine finally arrived! My first Vostok! I'm loving the details in the case (all those convex curves) and dial (the fine sandpaper finish, choice of colors, how the gold ring at the base echoes the hands, etc). At certain angles the light really reflects the interplay of blue and gold underneath the distortion of the plexi crystal. It even wears nicely with a suit (shirt and jacket without tie) for that sporty but still elegant look.
(Sorry for the oversized pics. I tried to reduce them before uploading but they still came out supersized.)
