I got a Vostok "Scuba Dude" with a blue dial from Zenitar over on ebay.
My watch has more of a turquoise color than classic blue. I really like it.
I have seen another Scuba Dude Vostic with a blue dial and it looks like a classic blue dial color.
Are they the same blue color and the color difference is caused by the lighting or angle during the photography? Or are there two different colored blue dials?
My Vostic with a more turquoise looking dial color. Model #0118f
Dull Dude....and sunny Dude...
You are getting a different watch each time you look at it.
Very easy to tell from the moment that the box reveals the Dude why it is a firm classic.
Enjoy
btw please post some pics. when you get it. Cheers
Don't know which part of Wales you're in, but mine is in N. Wales most days.
If you're anywhere that way (Broughton) give me a shout and you can play with it by trying it on etc, to convince you just how much you need one.
Cheers man but am in Swansea typically. Have an Amphibia already but just not a Dude so really gotta join the club probably with an orange or a teal blue one
The Blue Dude has some kind of 'optical quality' that changes with the lighting, mood (LOL)...etc. Mine (highly modified with Murphy Bezel and, now discontinued, Demineur Bezel Insert---also aftermarket hands) looks almost Royal Blue when photographed. It's an odd thing. Anyway, congrats on the new 'Dude"...you'll love it! That tiny little scuba 'dude' is an icon like no other! Sorry, but the pic is an old one and a little blurry, I'll try to get a better one.
Here is my new "Scuba Dude" in blue.
Looking for the correct color G10 NATO to go with Scuba Dude. Don't mind the rubber OEM strap, but it tapers from 18mm to quite narrow at the clasp.
Just be advised that the 420 round case looks a bit big and clumsy on an 18mm strap because it is quite high. A NATO strap makes it ride even higher and the strap will look even thinner.
The strap that you have now is notched and wider just after the lugs which gives a more favourable look.
If you have to replace it, personally I would recommend a non-tapering 20 mm strap, notched to 18 mm at the lugs ...that gives the best look IMO
2416B is the movement (identical in all models); the current model/case numbers are:
420 = round case
710 = cushion or "ministry" case
060 = long lug case
960 = "Neptune" case (with impractical center lug)
The old blue scubas used to have darken blue but after sometime in the sun exposure the colour turned into purple somekind. Now they made of a lighter blue and more resistant to sun.
Furthermore the colour changes, depends on the place's light.
The Blue Scuba Dude dial turns from almost black to metalic light blue just from the intensity and angle the light gets into it...
A lot of nice watches in this post...
I have just received a blue Scubadude (710) and the dial is definitely turquoise/teal. I was a bit disappointed as the photos on the website from which is was bought were definitely blue. But can I really be bothered to send it back to Russia? No.
Their pic. looks blue. Could be worth an email to double check perhaps.
