Today my 270 case Amphibia, but this time it has, believe it or not, a Boctok SS bracelet. It seems to me that there is a new generation SS bracelets with end pieces which are more comfortable to wear.
I bought 2x of these cheap bracelets with 18mm end-pieces of eBay, but they turned out (which was hard to see under the factory plastic wrapping) to have a high-gloss finish. Everybody its taste, but for me they were too much "bling". I applied the old Indian-trick with a kitchen-pad. Wiping the 3M coarse side gently in one straight direction over the glossy stainless steel provides a nice satin finish. This old Indian-trick can also directly be used to improve the looks of a worn stainless steel bracelet, or one can first polish the old SS bracelet to remove the bulk (or all) of the deep scratches and than apply this trick for a satin finish. I've could have done a better job at it, but I didn't spent too much time and the current finish was good enough for me. Of course, if one uses a finer (less coarse) 3M pad, the result will be finer, softer and more smooth (like the clasp)
Anyway, so far the bracelet feels comfortable and now with the satin-finish it suites (IMHO) the watch better
The last picture shows to the left the 2nd bracelet still with its glossy finish, the watch with the satin finish bracelet and the high-tech Indian tool to do the trick

It's time for a short vacation. Changing jobs and there are a few weeks before my new job begins.
This precious watch leaves my wrist during the vacation. It's a 40 year old CCCP-era military diver. One of my favorite Russian watches. The bezel is not original. The original bezel was so rusty that I made a few new bezels together with some good friends.
