Hello, I see some friendly people coming over from Watch.ru
There is also a concurrent project for an Electronika watch (hopefully with stainless steel case).
Just out of curiosity, shouldn't there be a "NO" box for those not interested in any of the proposals? Maybe there should be a "prefer another choice" box? It does say "are you interested " but it can really only be answered by those interested.
Using the last several project polls as guidance we know there are around 100 active voters on this subforum. After maybe another week we could safely estimate how many have abstained, but so far about a quarter of people have not voted and/or are not interested. Perhaps such an option to explicitly state "no" would be better, but I'm more interested in those who are in, not those who are out.
For the Vostok votes right now it's still quite evenly divided with Poljot even overtaking Neptune's previous small lead. Not only that I can now calculate 65% of the Vostok voters are for one of the two projects and not the other. With either Vostok project requiring 200 people we'd need as much consensus as possible. The successful Slava had a 33% lead over the Poljot in 2016, by comparison, while last year's Elbrus versus Poljot had a mere 7% difference and then only mustered 150 participants with lots of coaxing. Even if we would like to try the administrators surely don't so I have to admit I don't think it's going to happen for now and will personally be taking a step back in the meantime.
Looking at the Luch separately, it has passed the minimum necessary amount of people and would surely gain more if it moves forward. I encourage our Luch informant PanKorup to discuss with Chascomm, of course not forgetting the Elektronika proposal is also nearby.
Thank you, Comrade Pankorop for your time and effort!Hope the hands from the Chaika car clock can be reproduced!
Best regards and best of luck! We look forward to more news
For anyone interested in the GAZ-13 "Chaika" limo, I recommend reading its comprehensive genesis by Vadim Aleshin. Here's "the works" on this Rare Bird, and worthy of a Benedictine scholar. Only in Russian, sorry:
Among many facts, rare pics, trivia (and gossip :-! ) you may learn where its "seagull wings" emblematic V symbol comes from, and the "inspiration" source of the instruments.
Thank you Comrade for this valuable link!
I've been looking at the pics because my very basic russian does not allow me to understand almost anything. But it surprised me that one of the pics of the Chaika in an exhibition could be in Spain (one of the colour photos), all the signs are in spanish (behind can be read in the building's façade "de edu" wich could be "de educación" (education) and "al 15 de Dic-= abierto" "to 15th dec.=open".
The people behind don't look to be cuban.
I can't precise where that building is, as the picture in centered in the Chaika's beauty, but then, this particular example could have made its way to Spain. The exhibition looks quite like a motor show. At that time, the only spanish city hosting ointernational motor shows was Barcelona.
So thanks again for the link and the pics!
Best regards

Google translation of the paragraph introducing that picture:
"Of course, the production of GAZ-13 was initially small-scale and was timed to a significant event - the 21st Congress of the CPSU Central Committee, famous for proclaiming the final victory of socialism in the USSR and the course towards communism by the 1980s. As for Chaika, she received a prestigious international award, a Grand Prix, at the World Industrial Exhibition EXPO-58 in Brussels a year earlier in pre-production."
If this is correct, what is seen in the background could be the Spanish pavillion. ;-)
Hello comrades!
Really love the Dolphin project. Always were looking in this Poljot and thinking of searching for the good example.
Is the poll finished? Is there still any opprotunity to get in a list for Dolphin?
Nice initiative to start the poll. I voted for the Dolphin. I think 710 case will do best for this watch. I will follow further progression on this subject
edit: Looking closer, I wonder if a 150 case maybe will suit this design better......hmmm also nice. Anyways, both will do for me personally
We just did a diver watch, but I am open for another - the reason being... although we start now, with the design issues, prototype issues, ordering issues, factory queuing issues... we can only hope that it will be delivered by 2020 (and it's more than a year away).

Let's do this. Woohoo...
