    G-5600CC quick peek

Just arrived tonight from Japan! I've been looking at the G5600CC both blue and green for some time but the ones I've seen are well over 2 bills. I saw this used specimen for about 150 and decided why not. If anything it will tide me over until I can find a new one for a decent price.

There are a few reasons why I wanted this model. First, I have several squares already but except one white and one red, all have black bezels and straps. I wanted more variety. Second, I don't have any negative displays. I was hesitant based on what others have said about readability but this one seems legible to me.
Lastly, I have some GW atomic/solar models, and some DW non-atomic/ non-solar models but no JUST solar.

This one isn't in super condition but I can live with it. The resin is supposed to have a little bit of sparkle to it, the resin on this one has been worn down a little. Also, there are a couple pin sized nicks in the crystal which I did not notice before unfortunately. The buttons, buckle, and screws are all silver.

It's not a screwback of course, regular non-forged 4 screw backplate.

It has the 3160 module which is essentially the same as the 3159 module in everyone's favorite GW5000 minus the receiver for the atomic time. World time, 4 alarms, snooze, stopwatch, timer. Small indicator on the bottom that tells you if the hourly chime/alarm/snz is on, and another indicator for L-M-H charge levels. It has the power saver and the auto light feature too. Good for those that don't care for the atomic timekeeping or can't ever get the signal but want the solar capability.

    Light shot.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding it. Of course considering I just got it tonight it will be on WUR tomorrow :)

Update, I was able to source a replacement bezel and strap. The sparkle is back! Very pleased. Here are some comparison shots between the old and new:

Thanks ccm, although since I bought it I've seen some going for less $ so I guess I overpaid. I would get another just for the cool blue display to use in a custom, and because mine has a little ding in the crystal, but I've already spent more than my allowance lately on some rare square specimens as well as spare parts.
