    Before and after...

    Hi -

    This is the before:



    and this is the after:




    I processed the picture somewhat (hah! Try 20 minutes...) and cropped it in the Olympus Master software. The first is a simple resize, no processing; the second is cropped and fiddled with until it gives this result. Fair amount of sharpening involved, resized to 800x600.

    The lens is a rather old OM Zuiko 50mm f1.4 lens I recently acquired on eBay. I'm rather pleased with the bokeh!

    The artifact on the crystal at the 12 is just that, an artifact.

    I think this is a good example of just how much fun digital cameras with the right software can be...

    can you deal with the artifact? I usually refer to it as a relic if its lens produced.

    Or......

    ...taking things a bit further, this is what you can do with a bit of P-Shop work...and I took the "artifact" out...it adds nothing to the image!
