Buying my first DSLR set, comments and opinions please

This is for general photography and fun. (Not using for watch photography) Here's what I plan to get:

    Body
    Nikon D80

    Lens
    18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 ED AF-S DX (D80 kit lens) - general stuff
Sigma 30mm f1.4 EX DC - as the standard lens
    Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8D Nikkor - portrait

    Flashlight
    Nikon SB-600 Speedlite
    Gary Fong diffuser

    How does it look?

    :thanks

I have the D80 and 18-135mm. I had the AFS motor in the lens go out but had it replaced under warranty, I bought an 18-70mm and now only use it; it's a bit faster (4.5 vs 5.6 @ 70mm) and I mostly do casual family shots, will eventually get the 70-300 for telephoto.

I also have the 50/1.8 but I have the SB-400, again for casual use & bounce flash, and it's compact.

The D80 is great. Some fault the matrix metering in situations with subjects that contrast highly to the background (ie dark subject/lit window in background or vice versa) with blown highlight details, etc., but if you know what you're doing w/ exposure it can be easily overcome. I bought the thing to learn more about photography than to let the camera do all the work in the first place.

    Looking good
I use most of the Above with the addition of
    70-300 vr zoom
    90mm tamron macro

I use the 90mm for alot of close up watch stuff as well as the 50mm nikor.
for portrait i use the 50mm and 18-135 kit lens...

For general i use the 18-135 and for extreme close ups and kids play outdoors i use the 70-300 vr

Now if i had the option over again - i think i would get the D80 with the 18-200mmvr nikon lens as a kit- its a great allrounder lens with VR.

keep the 50mm and the 90mm macro
    i would ditch the 70-300Vr f5.6 and go for a 70-200 f2.8 zoom instead...

But that said what i have serves its purpose very well- i have all ranges covered..
    If spending all that dosh
go for a SB800 speedlight- can be used off camera with the D80-wireless as is and can controll upto 2 other flash units off camera as well....

    Good luck with the pruchase

my pics- nothing fancy - i just snap for fun

Thanx, I used to had an aquarium hobby too. Planted tank (Japanese Amano style) and Malawi cichlids. By I can't keep up with the time needed.

I already have what I need to shoot watches, so not using DSLR for watches.

I am on a budget, so these are what I could get. Thanx for all response.
