Canon G9 vs the new G10?

I'm in the market for a new camera and was reading about the G9, and now I see there is a new model out. Considering the type of macro watch photos that a wis would likely take, does anyone have any thoughts on the 2 models?
    Thanks.

I`ve been considering these two cameras myself however I`ve seen some concerns on the net about a possible design flaw, see here...

Watch collecting is just a bit of fun really & shouldn`t be taken too seriously

I wonder if the dust issue is also applicable to the G10...?

Well, as long as you shoot indoor and/or in a dust-free environment you should have no worries...

I've got the Canon G9 and haven't had any problems yet. Apparently the dust issue is relevant to any of the point and shoots where the lens opens and retracts into the case sucking in unfiltered air and dust particles with it.
I guess you just have to stay out of dusty environments .
Great camera though, heaps of features and takes great macro shots.

If you have either of the accessory lenses (the telephoto or wide angle converter) it's probably a good idea to keep those attached, particularly when you're shooting outside. And there's also a 10x macro lens made by Opteka for the G7/G9 (OPT-10X-CAN-G7).
