Couple of recent pictures - just that

Post processing does wonders... All captured with the 50/1.2 at 1.2 except the last one. All images captured at high iso with either a Nikon D2Hs or D300

Levels and Curves really do wonders as secondary adjustments once I first go through camera RAW

Granted the 50/1.2 can be a little soft wide open but ... I do like the results I do get with it.

Considering I bought it used and got a deal on it... Not bad

This last one was captured using the 70-200/VR

I actually liked her smirk better on this picture, but she blinked and then...

Had perfect eyes, however slightly OOF, so...

I combined both images (The eyes only to get the one I like the best out of that little session)

I now have a makeup artist on call and am working on scheduling a studio shoot with her next Tuesday, in two weeks...

Do you have any pointers or suggestions on where to look for tutorials?

There are many places to look for tutorials, I took a one week course covering all the basics this January.

This week I bought Adobe Photoshop CS3 "Classroom in a Book" and in December I printed CS3 "User's Guide" both of which I would have a hard time understanding without the class.

Online there are a few good links.

YouTuube.com is filled with CS3 and Photoshop tutorials, I could have saved $1000 just following these but the course was worth it to have all the basics.

There are quite a few photoforums as well which have tutorials and post processing sub forums, the most friendly I can think about is www.nikoncafe.com - for pictures irregardless of cameras it is the most helpful forums and one of the friendliest communities online
