    digital watch photography question

Hello. As a novice photographer I would like to know what is the best resolution for posting pictures to the forums here?

Does anyone have a favorite setting for their digital camera that falls within the size limits of the forum? Mine always come back as too large.

    Re: digital watch photography question

I have a 7.2mpix Olympus carry camera and a 8.0 mpix Canon 20d with assorted lens'. I take watch pics at full resolution using a tripod and with the 20d a remote shutter release.

I like to take full size pics so I can use Canon Zoombrowzer to crop for close ups and then I resize them.

I use paint shop pro to resize to about 950ish x 720ish for posting here as some people set their resolution to 1024 x 768 and it is easier for them. If you plan on using the manage attachments thumbnail option, a good size is 1024 x 768.

My Olympus 7.2 shock and waterproof camera takes pics at the 1024 x 768 size.

    hope this is helpful.

    Hi -

I simply resize to 800x600 and that always seems to work. Nikon CoolPix 5000.
