    Favourite Photographer?

    Hi
wondering who your inspirations are photographically?

Mine would be Don McCullin - who is in town this weekend at the literary festival and I really am hoping to meet him - I was a priest in Bradford where he did a lot of his famous work on social deprivation, and he now lives in Somerset where I grew up n my family farmed - chances of a chat are slim :(

secondly Natchwey - whose pictures I find profound and memorable

    what about you?

I'd have to say Freeman Patterson:

Oh my, how could I forget Curt Moore?

His photos were the reason I got interested in the hobby, and he has been a big help to me while I learn. An inspiration and outstanding individual. Thanks Curt!

For me, every day is a new thing. I approach each project with a new insecurity, almost like the first project I ever did, and I get the sweats. I go in and start working. I'm not sure where I'm going - if I knew where I was going, I wouldn't do it. Frank Gehry

Hmm, probably Andrew Wheeler. He posts occasionally on some other forums I visit, and I have met him once. Nice guy! Great photographer.

    Steve McCurry
He has done some fantastic work, many of which you'd probably seen in National Geographic. He is famous for taking most of his photos with prime lenses. He says he only takes a couple lenses on his journeys.
