    Thanks guys!

The lens is the Nikon 80-400mm on my D90 body. With the DX sensor, the focal length is an amazing 120-600mm! It's slower glass, and the AF is slow, too, but for the price I can't complain too much A fast 600mm is beyond my budget. Hopefully this will fit the bill

it looks like a sharp copy, good deal!
I've been experimenting with a recently-acquired Sigma 1.4x teleconverter. As long as we work within the limitations of our equipment, we can get some excellent results

Very nice! The focus in the 2nd pictue is spot on. I'm thinking of adding an telephoto to my arsenal. Hope to see more of pics from this lens here soon :D

    600mm! Good reach.
Focus is spot on but I think you do need to sharpen the file a little b4 uploading to make it look a bit more crisp.

Was thinking the same thing. Did you shoot raw and not sharpen before converting to JPEG? Any post-processing done to these pictures? What shutter speed were you getting on these shots?

Yet more great shots. I think I'm going to have to definitely save up for a DSLR now.
