    Picture Film shooters - Kodachrome

Any film shooters out there trying to shoot up their Kodachrome before it's too late like I am?

When Kodak made the announcement for the end of Kodachrome, I had a hard time finding any in stock. When I finally found some I purchased around 40 or so rolls, in addition to the many rolls I already had in my freezer.

Plus a friend gave me at least that or more in outdated rolls he had in his freezer (among other film - I seriously have a freezer full of film now - 35mm, 120, 220, 4x5, color neg, transparency, B&W - thousands of exposures).

I thought I would cherish these rolls for special projects worthy of the film no longer in production... and then what happens????

The one and only place in the world that can process Kodachrome announces that Dec 31st 2010 is the last day they will process it.

    There goes that idea.

Who else is out there trying to use up their stock? What projects are you doing with it?

Not anything that requires K-14 anymore at least. Nothing beats Kodachrome still IMO for that organically intense vibrancy. Exposed well, the images just pop like shot with no other.

What are you thinking about doing? Wrist shots during sunsets maybe?
