    Now for something completely different...

    Hi -

Today was one of those dreary, cold and rainy German winter days, so to make life complete, we cleaned and were about to throw out some flowers when I saw this and knew I had to grab a camera and get some shots.

The camera was my EP1 with the Olympus Digitial Zuiko 50 f2 via Panasonic adapter for 4/3 to m4/3. I put the camera on iAuto and just went with the flow and got this as well:

This was the last of the ones I took, as my wife wanted to get rid of the damn flowers already:

When I started looking at these in Lightroom, this is what I saw and it impressed me:

That is a pixel-peeping 100% view of the center of the previous picture! I don't think you can do better than that for sharpness.

Handheld, 1/100th s, f4, ISO 400, iAuto program. I probably could have done better with ISO 200 and a tripod, but life is, sometimes, too short for planning.

Besides, I had chores to do and She Who Must Be Obeyed was waiting for me to take the flowers out to the dust bin...

That's fantastic! Is that flash fired or natural light? Great sharpness on the whole thing, keep it up.

    Hi -

Natural light all the way. No idea what kind of flower that was, the only thing I know about flowers is that they are usually expensive and are in the process of dying. My wife threw them out about 10 minutes after I took these...
