    Opinion on lens artifacts...

    Hi -

    Yargh.

As I've mentioned, I've acquired this 50mm f1.4 lens from a seller on eBay, and while the lens seems to take decent photos, I am disturbed by two sets of problems.

    One is dirt:

That I can largely live with.

But I fear this is fungus:

What do y'all think? Time to pack it up and back to sender?

    Looks like fungus to me.

Some peoples opinions on it and how to get rid of it (sun or service), assuming you don't send it back to the seller:

    Hi -

Thanks, but the link doesn't work: it wants a log-in, and I've already got too many of those...

    Hi -

    Thanks.

I'll be taking it up with the seller, misrepresentation of product (lens was claimed to be in perfect condition), and while we're not talking chunks of change (was €80 with postage), I'd not have bid at all if that had been visible...

    Hi JohnF,
Are you sure its the lens, it might be dust on the sensor? and might not be as easily seen with other lenses
