    Payday...new lens

Got payed today, so off I went to my local camerapusher.
I`ve been wanting a telezoom for a little while now, and just coulden`t resist the urge any longer.
    Say hello to the Nikon 70-300mm f4,5-5,6 G IF-ED
I`ve read some great reviews on this, so I`m lookin forward to getting to know this one

Congrats on that new lens! I just bought the same one about a month ago and I love it, especially the VR feature. I had my doubts it could be so efficacious and was nervous about leaving my tripod home. All of the pics on this link were taken with this lens.

Now that's what I call a lens - I too bought a new lens this week, but had to settle for something smaller and cheaper a Nikon 1,8 50mm which is a beauty

I hear good things about that lens, specially in that price range!

So I had a try with the new lens yesterday, felt like a real paparazzi walking through the city with this beast, not really a city lens I guess.
Only got a few pictures done before my laptop gave up on editing pictures...need to get some beefier hardware I guess

Great shots - no need to feel like a paparazzo.

The VR feature is very effective and useful as long as one does not expect too much. The shot below was taken with an even longer lens (400mm) handheld from a moving and rolling ferry:
