Right place at the right time

Hello. I'm a new member to this forum and I thought I'd share some pictures (I was fortunate enough to capture) with everyone here.

The magnificence of nature in all it's glory and wrath tends to put things in perspective.

I took these pictures one morning about a month ago when I was leaving for work. I was fortunate enough to have the time to get the camera. This was taken with a Fuji F10 pocket camera on automatic attached to a mini tripod.

I took these pictures two evenings ago as a major storm passed overhead. I aimed the Fuji F10 straight up above me outside my front door. This storm produced at least one tornado and enough baseball sized hail to destroy thousands of new cars on lots through out the DFW metroplex.

Beautiful, what camers did you use?
Living on the edge, sneaking watches in the house under the stealth of night to evade the disapproving look of my lovley wife...

All pictures were taken with a Fuji F10 pocket digital.

Thanks, I'm not a pro. I just like to play with it when I get the chance.

    Hi Michael,

The sun in cloud pics are great. Reminds me to Friday evening. I was walking with my son to the Fire Brigade. I had my camera in hand when I saw a similar scene . So I take a picture, and what do I see "NO CF CARD INSERTED"

The strom pics are amazing and unbelievable. I've never seen that before, but hail stones as big as baseballs are not seen here often.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Sjors: Thanks for enjoying the pictures.
Man, sorry about the NO CF CARD incident. That would have really made me mad. The clouds in the second picture is a sure sign that a tornado is present somewhere close.
Baseball size hail is common to a degree here (we get every year, usually in the spring). This year we had them to softball size. That happened three weeks ago when two bad storms came in, two days apart from each other. The combination of both storms was the worst weather recorded in the north part of Texas ever.
    It included:
    8 tornados.
    Softball size hail.
(In some areas), 2000 lightening strikes per every 15 minutes.
Straight line winds clocked at 87 mph.
Rain accumulation up to 6+ inches (in some areas) 2+ inches per hour.
Texas weather...you gotta love it. Never a dull moment.

    Mike.

HA, I here that. But safe isn't always interesting.
I like your G-Shocks. I've got one and use it as one of my work watches. Great timepiece.
