    Trip to Grossglockner, Austria

Here's a few shots of my recent trip to Grossglockner and the surrounding Alps in Austria.

    Taken with Nikon D3000

You have some very nice shots in there. Were you using a filter on any of the shots, or did you do any editing? Your sky looks very blue, but not unnaturally so. Thought maybe you used a circular polarized filter possibly.

Look on the map if there's a 'Klamm' in the neighborhood. There are many of them in Austria, one even more beautiful than the other. You will regret it if you don't even visit one.

I didn't use a filter, just did minimum post processing in ACDSee Pro 3, took me about 10 secods per photo.

You should check out "High Alpine Road". Many nice things to see along the way.

Looks like you had beautiful weather. I like #8 best, with the two-stage waterfalls.

Yes, a CP filter would have helped here. All the shots can use a bit of boost in contrast. Shooting in broad daylight is challenging, in that it is easy to get an overexposure or too broad a dynamic range for our camera.

Lovely part of the world, never been there myself. At least not yet!

Wow!! Amazing pics. It has been well over 10 years since I've been to the Grossglockner.

Really breath-taking shots. How was the weather there (temperature-wise)?

Temerature wise it was hot'n'cold. :)

In the sun it was very warm, but in the shade it was very cold.
