    Your offbeat travel shots

Funny thing with traveling. You could live in the most picturesque place on earth and yet could not care less to snap any shots of your local haunts, even if people would come from around the globe to do exactly that. And then you go on vacation yourself and that is what you do - document the hell out of the places you're touring.

Case in point. Took this pic of some signage in Maribor, Slovenia a few years back. Just a sign really which to me just looked really cool. The local woman in front of the house where I took it thought I was batty. That or I was up to doing something no good since every house on the block had one.

    Got some of your own?

Sure, I'll play. This was an Apothecary shop in Hong Kong. Taken November 2006

Some kind of eel heads. I can't help viewing this and think of the 'rolly-polly fish heads" song!

I think I remember reading about these in a National Geographic a number of years ago, didn't know they were still around even recently. It's like the American version of the moai on Easter Island!

Here are such a nice photos of your travel spot. I mostly like that half of cars with that man. It looks funny and curious too. Such a nice post. I really appreciate for that photos.

Not so much offbeat, but i was in a little speedboat off the wellington coast in New Zealand and this little fisherman's shack caught my eye.
