33mm Sparewa from Ed. Spahr & Co. This one runs on a 17j AS/ST 1802/03 and pre-dates their more “adventurous” designs of the 1970s, like the Asymmetric Automatic model (Image credit to 70s Watches Gallery).

My 25 jewel Crusader which I know nothing about, but thought it was cool looking so I bought it. That's a good enough reason! ;)

In the year 1957, when the Mayflower II, a re-make of the original Mayflower which brought the first pilgrims to America, made its legendary Atlantic crossing, two Onsa Automatic Waterproof watches were also on this trip, one attached to the mast and another one under water to the rudder of the sailing ship to test their waterproofness – with success.
Thanks for the short history lesson. Fascinating! That's better than the old Timex commercials where they strapped it to the bow of a motorboat for five minutes!

The movement appears to be something by Durowe:
bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Durowe 1172

Here are Mikrolisk results for Crusader:
Mikrolisk - The horological trade mark index

I think we can safely rule out the Swiss ones, given that the watch doesn't bear any Swiss markings, and has a West German movement. It is more than likely that this particular Crusader trademark simply isn't listed there.
