    34mm French-made Dollar with its 15j Cupillard (FE) 233-60.

Mikrolisk has a registration date of 1939 (in Paris) by Algiers-based Etablissements S. Marquis Verrier et Moulin, so whenever today’s effort was made, and assuming it’s the same brand, it’s likely to have been prior to Algerian independence in 1962.

But I guess, I have found a trace. The company was renamed to 'Waltham Precision Instruments Company' and the rights on the Waltham name on watches went to Hallmark. So it was not Waltham Watch Co. involved in the Apollo mission.

Today, they are WACC -Waltham Aircraft Clock Company in Alabama, following Waltham Watch Company and the Waltham Clock Company and Waltham Precision Instruments. They are using the name Walthamclocks in their website address - they just can't give up I guess...

Wow, that's a tangled web you had to follow! Got to admit, they're persistent!

Today, I'm wearing a Westclox 17-jewel automatic. It's got some brassing on the lugs, but it cleaned up nicely otherwise.

My 1963 Jumbo (37mm) Constellation with a brand new hand-made leather strap. (Another WUS member made the strap for me out of leather and a vintage Omega bracelet clasp.)

Another, and perhaps not entirely successful, attempt by Croydon’s finest, well, only, watchmakers to jazz up their rather drab 1950s range with the bezel and dial of this Crescent model.

You’ll guess that it wasn’t exactly bought for its chronometer capabilities but after a COA, its in-house cal. 10.5’’’ ran without visible deviation over a 24-hour test which is good enough for me.
