    1949 Omega CK 2505-02 cal 265

    Hi there,

I have a 1949 Omega. It says CK 2505-02 at the back. Anyone know what the 02 at the end means? I did find model CK 2505 from the Vintage Omega Database, but no info about the 02 ending.

It has a cal 265. See the photo attached.

It has some patina on it, is there anything that could be done to it? Or what do you think, should I just leave it as it is?

I would suggest that you also post on the Omega forum - they will almost certainly be able to help there. Nevertheless, some of the chaps here will also be able to assist you further. I have limited knowledge on Omegas, I'm afraid. As for the dial, I would leave it (except perhaps just having it cleaned carefully if some of the patina comes off easily without drastic chemical means). Some patina is par for the course in watches of that age and you can till see the markings clearly on that one. No reason to do anything about it IMO.
