    1972 +/- Seiko crystal type

I bought a Seiko 7006-5019, No AC029M, 17 jewel watch for $10. For a vintage Seiko like this, would the crystal be Hardlex or acrylic (which could be polished)? Also, does anyone know how I could find the part number for the crystal? A part number might aid in the search for a NOS crystal. Thanks.

Actually, you may be in luck regardless of the crystal's material. I took a quick look at Jules Borel's website. You will need to register there. However, it is by far the greatest collection of searchable parts on the web.

Here is an edited version of the listings for this model number.

    CRYSTAL /SUB SA0W31AN00 Discontinued - Use S/K UB289X289

The original part has been discontinued and is no longer avaliable from Jules Borel. A quick search on eBay finds a few of them there:

    Hope this helps,
