I'm following this section for years now but have never started a topic (shame on me) allthough I'm a member since the beginning of 2009.
My name is Frans and I live in The Netherlands, my birthyear is in my nick and I'm a collector of old wristwatches. I think I have ca. 50 of them from different brands but Omega is my favorite brand.
I have bought an Elka watch and think it's from the 40-ties or 50-ties.
What I wanted to ask is of anybody can conferm this by looking at the movement. I have used the new search tool from Rafft and this is a great tool (thanks for it Hr. Rafft!) and I think that it's an AS movement but I'm not sure of it.
I hope that somebody could help to identificate it.
Here are the pics:
About Elka, it wasn't a brand but a jeweler in Amsterdam who designed watches of all kind since the 19th century and used different cal. for them.
Thanks for watching my 1st topic!
ps. Sorry for my poor English but I've learned most by myself, mostly by posting and reading on the net.
