Laughing 25¢ a piece! Yes please!

I know I've had a lot of new additions recently but these deals were too good to pass up. While at a flea market yesterday I came across a basket of watches for 25¢. I picked out 4 among the Quartz and ladies watches and paid and left. I chose a Hamilton, Elgin, Gruen, and Bulova. After getting home I was able to further inspect and research the pieces. I hadn't realised until then that both the Gruen and Hamilton are solid 14k gold. Pretty good for 50¢! The Bulova Photo watch I had known about but hadn't really sought out. The Elgin is in pretty nice condition and all four are running nicely. This marks the fourth solid gold watch that I've aquired for under $10 and with these most recent pick ups I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.

That is absolutely crazy!!!!! Congratulations on finding those really beautiful watches even if they weren't 2 bits each. Mark this day down. And I'd keep checking back at that location, someone there is in the wrong business. Enjoy the moment!

You must live in some sweet spot of watch stupid. Are you buying stuff from Amish Mr. NoButtons who's never seen an Internet?

Actually the seller seemed to be in the storage locker business from the small talk I made with him. He cleans them out and sells the contents at the flea market. Definitely the wrong business though!

    Absolutely amazing catch.
The Bulova is a real catch, sometimes fetch silly money on the bay.
The band on the Hammy is a rare find too, simpletreasures can vouch for that.
Well done Charlie, you deserve what you find.

That IS mighty fantastic, not just the gold, but 4 mighty nice pieces, I especially like the Gruen, and I own the same Bulova.

Thanks all, hopefully I haven't used up all my luck haha.

Anyone have aves an idea of the year of production on these? The Bulova is a 1950 and I'm guessing the Hamilton is 60s, and Gruen 50s? I'm not sure if these would have model names or not but I have had the chance to search thoroughly yet.

Looks like the Hamilton may be this, courtesy of vintage watch forums. Or a close cousin

Good eye man, that looks like it! So a late 60s Thinline then, good catch! Mine has some patina "spider bites" I think it's called and the speckled dial actually looks pretty neat.
